CAIRO, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Minor clashes in Egypt between police and supporters of former President Mohamed Morsi were reported Friday, the state news agency said.

In Cairo's Nasr City district, police dispersed two pro-Morsi rallies and clashes between protesters and area residents, the Middle East News Agency reported.

Similar incidents occurred in the Haram district in the city of Giza, and a van owned by the Tahrir television channel, was set on fire, the news website Ahram Online reported Friday, noting the channel is often critical of the pro-Morsi Muslim Brotherhood.

Clashes were also reported in the cities of Alexandria, Zaqaziq, Hahya and Kafr El-Shiekh, Ahram said.
