Libyan military plane crashes in Tunisia; 11 dead

TUNIS, Tunisia, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- A Libyan military plane with an engine on fire crashed as it approached a Tunisian airport for a landing Friday, killing all 11 people aboard, officials said.

The Antonov 26 aircraft was on a flight from Maitiqa airport in Libya, Alwatanya TV reported.

The pilot had sent a distress call saying one engine was on fire, the report said.
