Australian woman rescued from her roof after four days

GEELONG, Australia, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- An elderly woman in Australia was rescued after being stuck on her roof for four days, police said.

The woman, who is in her 70s and lives in Geelong, went up on the roof on Monday to investigate a draft. She injured herself and could not get back down, the Australian Broadcasting Corp. reported.

She was discovered when a neighbor knocked on the door and heard her cries. Emergency personnel had to cut through the ceiling to rescue the woman.

She was was hospitalized in stable condition.
