Protesters, angry about soaring inflation, high crime rates, and staple food shortages, burned trash and threw stones at police Saturday night, USA Today reported.
Police in turn used tear gas and water cannons to break up the crowd.
"We're marching for peace; we don't want violence," Jackeline Maceas, a 41-year-old administrator who attended the protest, was quoted as saying.
Supporters of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro also showed up to protest on Saturday.
Three people were killed and 100 students were arrested during Wednesday's protests, the BBC reported.
