ST. ISIDORE, Quebec, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- An 11-year-old Quebec girl wounded in a weekend family shooting that killed three others died of her injuries Wednesday, police said.

Police were called to a home in St. Croix de Lotbiniere Saturday where they found two shooting victims dead. They identified them as Nancy Samson, 44, and her boyfriend, Benoit Daigle, 39. The investigation quickly led to the home of Martin Godin, the father of Samson's two daughters, about 40 miles away in St. Isidore.

There, police found the body of Medora Godin, 13, also shot, and Beatrice Godin, who was clinging to life along with her father, Martin Godin, 54.

The younger daughter succumbed to her wounds Wednesday, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.

Martin Godin had suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and was unconscious. He was taken to an area hospital where he remained in critical condition.

Police said he was the prime suspect in the four killings.
