Spain's northern coast hit by tidal waves

MADRID, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Spain's northern coast has been hit by a series of destructive tidal waves that swept a teenage boy out to sea, officials said.

The 15-year-old was riding his bike along the seafront esplanade in Foz at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday when a giant wave struck and he was swept out to sea, ThinkSpain reported.
