TRIPOLI, Libya, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Five Egyptian Embassy staff members kidnapped in Tripoli, Libya, were released Monday and were waiting to be returned to Egypt, an official said.
"All five Egyptian diplomats have been released and they are in good health," Libyan Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Wafa Bugaigis said.

The release came after Egyptian officials freed the detained head of the Libyan Revolutionaries Operation Room, Shaaban Hadia al-Zway, who was arrested Friday in Alexandria, Egypt.
Al-Zway had been arrested because his Egyptian residency had expired, the Libya Herald reported.
