Nine Hell's Angels members sentenced in Spain

VALENCIA, Spain, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- A Spanish judge has sentenced nine members of the Hell's Angels motorcycle gang to 67 years in prison for the murder of a notary in Torrevieja province.

The bikers received sentences ranging from six months and 13 years for charges of aggravated robbery, possession of arms and murder, ThinkSpain reported Wednesday.

One of the bikers admitted to firing the shot that killed the 54-year-old notary in 2009, as well as shooting and injuring a bar-owner in San Pedro del Pinatar and burglarizing a home in Pedralba.

Two women were sentenced to six months each for aiding and abetting.

The judge in the case found that although the bikers belonged to the international Hell's Angels motorcycle club, they were not working as part of an organized criminal gang when they committed the crimes.
