CAIRO, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Two suspected militants were killed in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula Monday when a bomb they carried exploded as they approached a target, authorities said.
The bomb detonated as the two apparent attackers headed for an army checkpoint on a motorcycle, Aswat Masriya reported.

Militant attacks in Sinai have increased since President Mohamed Morsi was ousted from office in July.
