14 dead, 7 injured in Guizhou province blast

KAILI, China, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Fourteen people were killed and seven were injured Monday in an explosion in China's southwest Guizhou province, officials said.

The blast happened at about 2:30 p.m. local time in Laoshan village in the city of Kaili, China's state-run Xinhua News Agency reported.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
