Letter sent to Naples prefect explodes, staffer sustains minor burns

NAPLES, Italy, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- A letter sent to a Naples prefect exploded Tuesday and injured a staffer, who suffered minor burns to her hands and face.

The letter was addressed to Naples Prefect Francesco Musolino, 62, who was appointed in November 2012, ANSA reported.

Musolino has made efforts against the local Camorra Mafia, but there have no been reports of threats against him.
