Four more bodies found at Russian plane crash site

IRKUTSK, Russia, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Emergency workers Friday found the four remaining bodies of the nine victims of an Irkutsk, Russia, plane crash, authorities said.

The plane's black boxes, which may provide information on the cause of the crash near the eastern Siberian city were also located, said Valentin Nelyubov, head of the Irkutsk Region's Emergency Services Ministry.

The Antonov An-12 transport plane crashed Thursday, killing the six crew members and three people accompanying the cargo onboard. The roofs of two military warehouses were damaged in the crash, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti said.

The plane was within 130 hours of its 20,000-hour designated limit for airframe life, Russia's Interstate Aviation Committee said.

Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said a criminal case has been opened, citing possible violations of transport safety rules.
