BAGHDAD, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Insurgents targeted a convoy carrying Iraqi Defense Minister Saadoun al-Dulaimi Tuesday with a roadside bomb though the leader was unhurt, the military said.

The convoy was driving on the central road in Anbar province between Fallujah and Ramadi, CNN reported. Two bodyguards were injured and a vehicle was damaged, the Kuwaiti news service KUNA said. Their conditions were not reported.

No group had claimed responsibility for the attack.
