Microbus-truck collision in Egypt kills 14, injures 2

MINYA, Egypt, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- A truck and a microbus collided near Minya, Egypt, leaving 14 people dead and two others injured, officials said.

The crash, which happened south of Minya, was caused by heavy fog and excessive speeds, al-Masry al-Youm reported Thursday.

No other details were reported.

In 2010, an Egyptian government study found that there has been a surge in car crashes in Egypt, surpassing accident rates of most other countries.
