CAIRO, Dec. 10 (UPI) --
A truck hauling gasoline crashed into a mini-bus then exploded, killing 15 people in Kafr El-Zayat in Egypt's Gharbia governorate, officials said.
Police said the accident occurred on a bridge in Egypt's Nile River delta Monday, Ahram Online reported.
Five people were injured.
Ahram Online said traffic accidents were common in Egypt because of poorly maintained roads and unenforced traffic laws. The World Health Organization in a 2012 report estimated 12,000 people die annually in traffic-related accidents in Egypt.
