No damage reported after 6.7 Indonesia earthquake

JAKARTA, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- No reports of damage or injury were received Sunday in the aftermath of a magnitude 6.4 earthquake that rumbled across eastern Indonesia.

The U.S. Geological Survey in Colorado measured the quake at a magnitude 6.4. The agency said the offshore quake occurred about 6.2 miles below the surface and was centered 228 miles from the Maluku capital of Ambon.

There were no reports of damage and no tsunami warning was issued.

China's Xinhua news agency said the Indonesian Meteorological and Geophysics Agency measured the quake at magnitude 6.7.
