Four dead in Kandahar hotel bomb blast

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- A bomb explosion in a hotel restaurant in southern Afghanistan's Kandahar province killed at least four people, authorities said.

Police told Pajhwok Afghan News that preliminary indicated the attack Wednesday evening was carried out by a suicide bomber.

Khaama Press reported more than 20 people also were injured in the blast. Al those killed and injured were civilians, police said.

The report said no group had yet claimed responsibility.
