JERUSALEM, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Avigdor Lieberman was sworn in as Israel's foreign minister just days after a Jerusalem court acquitted him on fraud charges.

At the ceremony that took place in the Knesset Monday night, 62 parliamentarians voted in favor of Lieberman resuming the Foreign Ministry post and 17 voted against it.

Lieberman resigned as foreign minister in last December, a post he held for over three and a half years, after he was charged with fraud and breach of trust. The Jerusalem Magistrates Court last week acquitted Lieberman on all charges.

Earlier Monday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said he missed Lieberman in the government. "We have a lot to work on, great trials and challenges. It's important for us to work together," The Jerusalem Post quoted Netanyahu as saying.
