Woman, 75, convicted of assault for dog poo fling

TRUMPINGTON, England, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- A 75-year-old British woman was convicted of assault for emptying a bag of dog droppings on a cyclist she accused of riding too close to her.

Prosecutors said Susan Currall, 75, of Trumpington, England, swung the bag of her dog's feces at cyclist Michael Ramage Sept. 12 because she was angry at how often cyclists passed too close to her while she was walking, Cambridge News reported Monday.

Currall, who said she did not expect the bag to split and spill its contents onto Ramage, was ordered to pay Ramage $40 to cover his dry-cleaning costs as well as $160 to the court for costs. She was given a one-year conditional discharge.
