Tajikistan earthquakes destroy 104 houses; no casualties reported

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- At least three earthquakes destroyed 104 houses and damaged 256 others in Tajikistan but no casualties were reported, an emergency official said Monday.

Two 5-magnitude earthquakes struck Sunday south of the capital of Dushanbe and a 4-magnitude quake shook the same area early Monday, RIA Novosti reported.

The numbers of destroyed and damaged houses were reported by Orif Nozimov, press service head of Tajikistan's Emergency Situations Committee.
