KABUL, Afghanistan, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Afghan security forces said a series of firefights Sunday in restive Helmand province resulted in at least 14 Taliban casualties.
The exact number of killed and wounded was unclear; however, officials told the Khaama Press the fighting went into the evening in the Greshk district of Helmand.

Four government troops were reported wounded and denied Taliban claims the injured soldiers had actually been killed.
The fighting came at the same time the Afghans announced the capture of Taliban commander in southern Kandahar province.
