BAGHDAD, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Several separate attacks in Iraq Thursday left 12 people dead and 23 others wounded, officials said.
In the Mashtal district of Baghdad, four people were killed and 10 were injured by a car bomb, China's state-run Xinhua News Agency reported.
Two people were killed and six were injured a roadside bomb in the town of Madain, which is southwest of Baghdad, an official said.
Another roadside bomb killed two women and injured two men in the town of Yathrib, police told Xinhua.
Gunmen fatally shot a police officer inside a restaurant in the northern city of Mosul, an official said.
A suicide bomber killed three people and wounded five at a security checkpoint at the entrance of an Iraqi army base in the city of Aana, local police told Xinhua. Police said an army officer was among the wounded and that soldiers arrested a suspect who was filming the attack.
