MOSCOW, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- A 25-year-old Russian man has confessed to committing at least 24 rapes around Moscow since 2004, police said.

The man admitted raping the women in Moscow, Mitino and Zelenograd, RIA Novosti reported. Most of the rapes occurred in apartment building elevators.

The suspect confessed after being presented with a "barrage of evidence," including genetic findings, Russia's Investigative Committee said Friday.
