Palestinian medical officials said Tazazaa was shot in the chest and died of his wounds.

Last week, Mohammed Assi, a member of the Islamic Jihad and a planner of the bombing attack on a Tel Aviv bus in November 2012 during Operation Pillar of Defense, was killed by an anti-tank missile fired at the tunnel where he was holed up, Ynetnews.com said.

Israeli defense officials said Assi was planning another attack against Israeli civilians or defense forces and refused to surrender.
