Reports of an attack on another hotel in Sousse were denied by the hotel's security staff and local police, Tunisia Live said.
The National Guard office in Monastir told Tunisia Live there had been several unsuccessful attacks in that coastal city. Security officials said information about the attacks was being gathered.
