BENGHAZI, Libya, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- A bank manager, who kidnappers held for 45 days as they demanded an $8 million ransom from his family, has been found dead in Benghazi, Libya, police said.

Abdallatif Zuai was shot multiple times and his body was left in the city's Guarsha district, the Libya Herald reported.

The family said they were unable to pay the ransom, which at one point was lowered to $4.8 million.
