CAIRO, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Egypt's Interior Ministry arrested 27 people suspected of being involved in recent national terror attacks, officials said.

The suspects, who are believed have been involved in the targeting of police and army officers and the attempted assassination of Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim Sept. 5, belong to an unnamed terrorist organization created to spark chaos in Egypt, al-Masry al-Youm reported Monday.

Authorities are still pursuing two suspects believed involved in the alleged assassination plot.
