Afghan, coalition forces kill 19 Taliban militants

KABUL, Afghanistan, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Afghan and coalition forces killed at least 19 Taliban militants in joint operations across Afghanistan during the weekend, the Interior Ministry said Monday.

Troops detained other militants and seized weapons and ammunition, the ministry said.

The operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Uruzgan, Logar, Khost, Farah, Ghor and Helmand provinces, Khaama Press reported.
