The attack against members of the International Security Assistance Force took place in eastern Afghanistan, CNN reported. A man wearing an ISAF uniform attacked the U.S.-led coalition soldiers and the ISAF returned fire, killing the man, the Los Angeles Times reported.
So-called insider, or green-on-blue, attacks on NATO troops have led to U.S. commanders ending some joint operations with Afghan forces.
A coalition spokesman said Saturday's attack was the fourth such ambush attack in recent weeks.
