Minibus drives into oncoming lane of traffic, collision kills 13

SAMARA, Russia, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- A head-on collision between a minibus and a light commercial vehicle Sunday in Russia killed at least 13 people and injured three others, police said.

The three injured victims were in critical condition, RIA Novosti said.

Initial reports indicate that the Toyota minibus driver drove into the oncoming lane and hit the Mercedes vehicle, police said.

Both vehicles fell into a roadside ditch, and the minibus caught on fire.

The investigation is ongoing.
