LAHORE, Pakistan, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- One person died and 15 others were injured Thursday when a bomb exploded at a restaurant in Lahore, Pakistan, police said.
The timed bomb was affixed to the underside of a counter at the restaurant on Food Street in Old Anarkali, the bomb disposal squad said.

The device weighed about 2.2 pounds and caused heavy damage to the restaurant, the government-backed Associated Press of Pakistan news agency reported.
Dr. Muhammad Tahir, the deputy medical superintendent at Mayo Hospital, said one of the injured was in critical condition. Another hospital source said one victim died shortly after reaching the facility.
