Investigation opened into why two commuter trains collided in Rome

ROME, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- The transport company ATAC is investigating what caused two commuter trains to collide Monday on a regional line in Rome, officials said.

No deaths were reported but 13 passengers were taken to area hospitals, ANSA reported.

Service was affected on the Rome-Giardinetti railway line.
