Fire in Moscow apartment building kills 1

MOSCOW, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- One person was killed and 12 injured after a fire in a high-rise apartment building in Moscow Saturday, emergency officials said.

Russian emergency officials said the fire in Moscow's Schelkovo district broke out in the building's electrical system and electric panels burned on the third through 12th floors of the 16-story structure, ITAR-Tass reported.

A total of 72 people were evacuated.
