Small plane fails on takeoff in Lyon, France, 4 people die in crash

LYON, France, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- A small passenger plane crashed in Lyon, France, Tuesday morning, killing all four of its occupants, authorities said.

The six-seat Cessna plane failed on takeoff, crashing into a field at the end of the runway and bursting into flames, Radio France Internationale reported.

Forty-four firefighters reported to the scene, but were unable to save any of those aboard.
