ZHONGFENG, China, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- A woman in a Chinese village was found alive at the bottom of a well 15 days after she fell into it, authorities said Tuesday.
Su Qixiu, 38, was found Monday in the abandoned well in Zhongfeng Village, the fire department told Xinhua.

The well, which is 13 feet deep, is surrounded by corn stalks and is difficult to see.
Su had no visible injuries but suffered internal injuries, Xinhua reported. She is reported in stable condition and receiving fluids.
Su's husband said she survived by eating the raw corn she was carrying when she fell into the well Sept. 1.
