The cyclists were traveling in Spain's Burgos province Sunday when the bird flew directly into them, The Local.es said.
The collision took place on a blind turn with poor visibility, and the cyclists didn't have time to hit the breaks.
One of the cyclists, Mario Sanchez, was rushed to the hospital with seven broken ribs, a punctured lung, and a fractured collar bone and shoulder blade, The Local.es reported.
Hospital officials said he is now out of danger but is still at the facility in the town of Miranda de Ebro.
The vulture disappeared after the crash and was not seen again, the Digital Journal said.
