The sequence of events was unclear with The Jerusalem Post reporting Bashir Najar, 48, first shot his ex-wife, Zahira Jijini, and one daughter at a nursing or retirement home and then shot the two other daughters at a local government building, while Ynetnews.com reported the shootings occurred in reverse order. The ages of the ex-wife and children also varied, with the woman listed as both 30 and 45 and the children ranging from 4 to 16.

Najar also killed the home's manager, Abdul Islam Aziza, 58, as well. Ynetnews.com said Aziza was killed at his residence.

The gunman committed suicide 45 minutes later, with Ynetnews.com saying he killed himself in an apartment and the Post saying he did it somewhere near the outer edge of the village.

Police said Jijini had filed a complaint against Najar several months ago but no legal action had been taken against him, Ynetnews.com said.
