Bomb on motorcycle kills 5, injures 25 in Philippines

COTABATO CITY, Philippines, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Five people died and 25 others were injured Monday when an explosive device attached to a motorcycle went off in Cotabato City, Philippines, police said.

The blast took place around 4:40 p.m. local time on Sinsuat Avenue, Senior Superintendent Rolen Balquin, acting city director told The Philippine Daily Inquirer.

"The explosion was on a very busy street. There are five confirmed fatalities," Balquin said.
