KABUL, Afghanistan, July 23 (UPI) --
Three U.S. members of the International Security Assistance Force died Tuesday in an improvised explosive device attack in Afghanistan
, officials said.
The blast occurred in the Said Abad district of Wardak province, NBC News reported.
The ISAF released a statement announcing the deaths, saying it left identification of the dead up to the respective national authorities.
A local Afghan official told NBC News the soldiers were American.
