Senior FARC rebel "Ivan Marquez," predicted a quick end to the Marxist guerrilla organization's dispute with the government, Colombia Reports said Tuesday.
However, FARC and the government appear to be far apart when it comes to certain of the rebel group's demands. Those include the surrender of weapons and a constituent assembly with the power to change Colombia's 1991 constitution.
Negotiators for both sides began a second cycle of talks last month.
Peace talks are scheduled in Havana later this week.
FARC is the Spanish acronym for the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.
