Suicide blast during police chase injures two civilians in Kabul

KABUL, Afghanistan, July 12 (UPI) -- A suicide bomber detonated explosives in the Mir Bacha Kot district of Kabul Friday, injuring at least two people, an official in the Afghan capital said.

Gen. Zahir Zahir, head of the Kabul Criminal Investigation Department, said the bomber was recognized by police as he drove a vehicle and detonated the explosives while being chased, Khaama Press reported.

No one had claimed responsibility for the attack.
