Iraq: 6 dead, 28 injured in car bomb explosion

TUZ KHURMATU, Iraq, July 11 (UPI) -- Six people were killed and 28 injured Thursday when a car bomb exploded in Tuz Khurmatu, Iraq, authorities said.

The victims were all police officers, sources told IraqiNews.com

The bomb also destroyed 12 houses and damaged four cars in the town east of Tikrit.

The injured policemen were transported to the hospital, while the dead have been taken to the morgue, sources told IraqiNews.com.
