REDRUTH, England, July 7 (UPI) -- Police said they have arrested seven Crewe Alexandra soccer players for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in England where the team was training.

The alleged assault of a woman in her early 20s took place at 4:30 a.m. Saturday in the Cornish town of Redruth, the BBC reported.

All seven suspects have been interviewed and released on bail, Sky News reported.

They are due to return to the police station on dates between Sept. 30 and Oct. 8.

A spokesman for the soccer club said it was not appropriate to comment during a police investigation.
