Three arrested over pony abuse video

GRONINGEN, Netherlands, July 4 (UPI) -- Three people were arrested in the Dutch town of Groningen on animal abuse charges over a video that shows an overweight woman sitting on a pony, police said.

Two 57-year-old men and 58-year-old woman were arrested Wednesday after a video of the woman posted online went viral, DutchNews.nl reported.

The video showed an overweight woman sitting on a Shetland pony. The woman stays on pony even after it collapses under her weight.

One of the men is the owner of the video production company that made the film.

Police said they have not ruled out making more arrests.
