Fishing boat capsizes in eastern China; eight missing, three rescued

JINAN, China, June 28 (UPI) -- Rescue teams searched for eight people who disappeared after their fishing boat capsized off the coast of eastern China early Friday, authorities said.

The boat, from North China's Hebei Province, capsized in the Dongying sea area, the provincial maritime bureau told Xinhua.

Three of the boat's crew members were rescued and were treated at a local hospital, authorities said.

Ships and helicopters were used in the search.
