CPC to standardize welfare entitlements

BEIJING, June 25 (UPI) -- Communist Party of China representatives said Tuesday they will standardize welfare entitlements to prevent public officials from enjoying excessive benefits.

The decision comes after officials attended a Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee conference, Xinhua reported.

Officials at the conference called on governments at all levels to standardize officials' entitlement to offices, cars, housing, social welfare and vacations.

Speakers at the conference also discussed perfecting the official performance evaluation system, and allowing it to drive promotions and punishments.
