MUMBAI, June 21 (UPI) -- A three-story building collapsed on the outskirts of Mumbai early Friday, killing at least 10 people, injuring 14 and trapping others, officials said.
The building fell just after midnight in the Thane district while most residents were asleep, the Press Trust of India reported.

The people killed included a 2-month-old girl, officials said.
"There are more trapped inside and rescue operations are in full swing," Sandeep Malvi, spokesman for the Thane municipal corporation, told the BBC.
The cause of the collapse had not been determined, the BBC reported.
A building collapse in the Thane area in April killed 74 people.
