ISAF military member killed in eastern Afghanistan explosion

June 10, 2013 at 10:10 AM   |   Comments

KABUL, Afghanistan, June 10 (UPI) -- A coalition service member died in an explosion Monday in eastern Afghanistan, the International Security Assistance Force said.

The ISAF did not provide other information about the attack or the identity of the military member, saying it defers casualty identification procedures to the appropriate national authorities.

Khaama Press said troops mainly from United States are based in Afghanistan's eastern provinces.

At least 84 NATO troops have been killed in Afghanistan since the beginning of this year, reported icasualties.org, a website that tracks coalition forces casualties in Afghanistan.
