BAGHDAD, June 9 (UPI) -- Four people died and 17 were injured by a car bomb detonated near a police station Sunday in a northern Baghdad neighborhood, officials said.

"[A] Car bomb driven by a suicide bomber exploded this morning targeting [the] police center in Kadhimiya, thus resulted in killing four people and wounding 17 others," a security official told IraqiNews.com.

The source, who was not identified by IraqiNews.com, said the Kadhimiya neighborhood was cordoned off by security forces while the dead and injured were taken from the scene.
