TEL AVIV, Israel, June 3 (UPI) -- Four female Israeli army recruits who posed in their underwear on a military base were disciplined for "unbecoming behavior," the army said.

A photo recently posted on Facebook showed the women with their faces blurred and two of them had pulled down their army fatigue pants, revealing their thonged buttocks, the Israeli Walla website reported.

The photo was reported by Israeli and Arab media during the weekend.

A statement released by the army said the soldiers' commanding officers disciplined them for "unbecoming behavior."
